Library

Institute Mater Dei is truly blessed with a remarkable library, lovingly built over 53 years. This sacred space is one of our greatest treasures, housing an extensive collection of books on theology, philosophy, and allied sciences, with a special focus on consecrated life and women’s studies.

Our library boasts over 18,000 books and 800 volumes of bound periodicals. We are graced with subscriptions to 60 journals, weeklies, and newspapers. The 30 multi-volume encyclopedias are a cherished resource, well-utilized by both staff and students.

In our commitment to fostering knowledge and spiritual growth, the library is equipped with computers and internet facilities. We are also developing access to E-sources to further enrich our community’s learning experience. A new software package has been introduced to enhance the management of browsing and accessing books.

One of the Institute Mater Dei’s priorities is the continual expansion of our library each year. Our collection of relevant books is a vital support for students in their research, reflection, and study.

The library opens its doors to students from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on working days, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, it is open only in the morning hours. Students are encouraged to make use of this blessed resource even during holidays by reserving the books of their choice.
